About

Meet Tom

While Tom Marchant has Greenville roots that run 150 years deep, he has a global appreciation and perspective of people and locations. Tom spent eight years as a top sales producer within the luxury hotel industry before moving into radio sales/strategy. His tenure of 14 years with The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts provides him significant insight into high-end client service and expectations, while time with Cox Media Group developed his creative use of marketing strategy. Tom has lived in various places like Tampa and Atlanta and his experiences in these cities have allowed him to navigate and understand the facets of both cosmopolitan and local regions.

After amassing valuable experiences, Tom had a calling to be his own personal boss. He was led to real estate based on his ability to communicate with others, his desire to help families, and his understanding of the importance of location. After years of brokering real estate, Tom has become Greenville’s  Realtor for fine homes and properties in addition to being a consistent top agent and Vice President of Marketing at Marchant Company. Tom is naturally approachable and genuinely wants to be a resource for questions or any real estate needs.

Tom understands how to strategize and showcase listings. He is keen on techsavvy marketing to position high-end homes in front of their potential new owners. To this end, he utilizes skilled stagers, professional photographers, creative writers and targeted print publications to best showcase each property, with promotions accented, perhaps, by aerial photos, videos, social media and more.

Tom’s resume also includes securing remarkable listings for properties such as Woodland Park, The Avant Greenville, Augusta Walk, and working with developers and builders to market 23 townhomes in Greenville.

Tom met his wife, Gidge, at Clemson University where he graduated in 1992 and they have been happily married for 23 years. He and his family are dedicated to service and community engagement. He and Gidge belong to the PTAs and SICs at their children’s schools while also mentoring a student at Hollis Academy. His family are members of First Presbyterian Church Greenville where Tom serves a Deacon and leads a youth high school small group.
